Location of the Italian battery PL989 at the location Thymari, opposite the islet of Archangelos. The battery protected the sea passage between the two islands (Farantos Channel). At this point we can also visit the underground areas of the battery installations with caution. The view from here towards the islet of Archangelos and the bay of Parthenio is very beautiful.
