Next to the Metropolitan Church of the Annunciation, in Platanos, a small chapel has been built in honor of Saint Savvas. Its founding plaque informs us that it was built in 1969 under the leadership of the Most Reverend Metropolitan of Leros, Kalymnos & Astypalaia Isidoros, at the expense of Archimandrite Savvas Hatzidakis.
