The chapel of Saint Efstratios or Efstathios Plakidas, can be found at the northern end of the bay of Lakki in the Pano Katsouni area. It is dug into the rock and is celebrated on September 20. The Saint was originally a soldier in the Roman army, named Efstathios Plakidas, and lived during the time of Trajan, around 100 AD, while he was martyred in 117 AD, during the time of Emperor Hadrian.
