From the western end of the port in Lakki, a very beautiful coastal route begins, with beautiful nature, beaches, and sights, which ends after about three kilometers at the beautiful Red Beach. Here the end is in Merikia, the most touristic part of the route, with a beach bar cafe, and various delicious foods (stuffed squid, fish soup, soutzoukia with rice). In front, the beach begins, a sandy beach with fine pebbles, quite large but narrow due to the cement embankments that have been built for the shops. At the beginning of the beach there is a pier. The beach continues west of the pier for about 400 meters. Behind the beach we can see dilapidated warehouse buildings built by the Italians during their occupation, while a carriage road runs north, which at 400 meters reaches the very interesting war museum and the military tunnel.
