The urban complex that housed the 'Leros' hotel and the cinema is the most characteristic example of the rationalist architecture of the 'International' style, based on which Lakki was designed during the interwar period. Together with the Agora complex, from the back of the hotel, they constitute a unique urban complex in Europe of this style. The complex began to be built in 1935 and was completed in 1938. According to a report by 'Messagero di Rodi', the building was built in a modern style and had 19 rooms, 29 beds, 6 bathrooms, a restaurant, a billiard room, a reading room, a bar and two reception lounges. It operated as a hotel until 1986. Today (2022) it is undergoing a radical renovation. The cinema in its current form was inaugurated in 2009. At the back of the hotel, a very picturesque summer cinema was inaugurated in August 2022.
