Before we reach the castle (kasteli) of Skaros, while we are still on the path leading to Skaros Rock from Imerovigli, we encounter a beautiful, picturesque little church built into the caldera on our right. It is dedicated to Saint John Going Downhill (Agios Ioannis o Katiforis).
