Emporio

The Municipal Community of Emporio has its seat in the populous village of Emporio in Santorini. It extends to the southern tip of the island, including the coastal holiday settlements of Vlychada, Exomitis, Agios Georgios, and Perissa. In Emporio we will find the best-preserved castle on the island, which is still inhabited. The famous black sands of Perissa are located less than 3 kilometers from the center of the village. Vlychada boasts beautiful dark sand surrounded by impressive formations of white volcanic rock, as well as the industrial tomato museum that is housed in the buildings of the former tomato factory of D. Nomikos.
