Church of the Prophet Elias

On the way from the little church of the Archangels (Taxiarchon) toward Panagia, we see a dirt road on the right that leads to Xero Chorio ("dry village"), the church of the Prophet Elias (Profitis Ilias), and the church of the Holy Apostles (Agii Apostoli) and ends in 4Km at the Monastery of the Archangels (Taxiarchon). Along the way, we will make two detours to climb to two of the highest points on the island, where antennas have been installed, and enjoy from there the magnificent panoramic views of Chora and Livadi. 3Km from where we turned for the church of the Archangels, we reach the little church of the Prophet Elias, with a beautiful view of the northern part of the island. At this point there is a sign for Path 10 which informs us that by going north for 1,500m we will reach Triantafyllos in 25min, while by heading southeast for 1,700m we will arrive at in the beginning of the path in Kallitsos (Kentarhos) in 30min. The times on the signs are generally very conservative.
