Path toward the Church of the Lower Cross

A very beautiful route, part of Path 1, starts from the church of Saint Stephen (Agios Stefanos) in Kipous and ends (in approximately 1,200 meters) at the church of the Upper Cross (Pano Stavros) in Palia Mitata or Paliomitata. The path is well marked. Initially we will see on our right the charming little church of the Lower Cross (Kato Stavros). Although it looks close, it is not so easy to approach. If we make a small detour to the right and pass the small stream, we can find traces of the path, although it is almost blocked by vegetation, and finally manage to reach the church of the Lower Cross, or Kato Stavros (after approximately 150 meters).
