The lower entrance to the Santorini cable car is located at the Old Port. The cable car is the connecting link with the city of Fira. A pioneering work donated by the Loula and Evangelos Nomikos Foundation, it can carry 1,200 people per hour, covering the distance in 3 minutes. The cable car was constructed by the Doppelmayr company according to Austrian standards and safety regulations.
