The walk through the gorge of the Smynos river is a lovely excursion. Along the way, we can see remnants of ancient monuments, several of them related to the ancient irrigation network of Gythio. There are also natural attractions, including the Cave of the Princess (Vasilopoula). To get there, follow the riverside path from Stara Bridge to the right for 300-400 meters.
