One of the unsubdued Maniot settlements of Bardounochoria (in contrast to the Tourkobardounochoria in the same area, which were conquered by Turks). It is a small settlement whose name is probably of slavic origin (Selo = village). The old church of the Saints Theodore (Agii Theodori) is noteworthy.
