Saint Anthony

Ascending from Anitseo, we will see a small shrine on our right two hundred meters before Vlachides. Immediately afterwards, we will see a dirt road on our left that ascends the hill of Megali Koryfi like a snake, heading to the country church of Saint Anthony (Agios Antonios). The little church is 50 meters below the hilltop, which overlooks the cape of Agios Antonios from high above. Next to the little church, there is also a corral for livestock. The dirt road is in very bad condition, so you will need a 4x4 to drive over it (total distance up to the church: about 1,500 meters). From here, a rough path ascends to the Megali Koryfi, or Great Peak, at 307 meters altitude.
