Chortero

Just 3 kilometers from Sidirokastro, Chortero (or Hortero) is essentially an agricultural village. The approximately 600 residents cultivate potatoes, corn and cotton. There is a potato festival in the village every year, as well as a competition of ultralight aircraft at the airport.
