A great benefactor for the region. Especially noteworthy projects include the founding of the Karytsiotis school and farm in Astros in 1805. In 1798, he had also founded a school at Koutri, Agios Ioannis (capital of the state in the summer of 1822), which was destroyed by Ibrahim.
