Atop the Nisi hill, we find a very beautiful castle built by the Zafiropoulos brothers in 1824 on the site of old fortifications (the wall of Aeginiton from 424 BC, and subsequently the castle of Villehardouin). According to Kolokotronis, this was the only impregnable castle in the Peloponnese.
