The Muncipality of Itylo (Oitylo, Vitsoulo) joined the new Municipality of East Mani in Lakonia under the Kallikratis Program. Located in the western part of the Mani peninsula, the new Municipal Unit of Itylo consists of 10 communities, with its seat in Areopoli, and has an area of 143.7 square kilometers and a population of 3515 (2011).
