About 700 meters after we leave Kato Paos, heading toward Kontovazaina, we will see a rough dirt road heading off to our left. If we follow it, in about 400 meters we will reach a large cross with a commemorative plaque with the names of gendarmes executed during the Greek civil war. The cross sadly touches the cloudy sky to remind us of a time we all want to forget.
