Saint Eustratius

800 meters from Paradeisi on the road to Kato Kastania, as we make a sharp right turn uphill, we will see a dirt road descending on our left. Follow it, and in 300 meters the road ends at the half-ruined small Byzantine church of Saint Eustratius (Agios Efstratios), where much-needed restoration and maintenance work have taken place. The interior of the church is decorated with important religious paintings. Outside the church, we can enjoy a beautiful view of the plain of Vatika, Neapoli, and the Lakonian Gulf, with the island of Elafonisos.
