Archontiko

Built amphitheatrically above the River Smynos, this is a Maniot Bardounochori—one of the group of villages north of Mani or in northern Mani (there is disagreement about which) in the region of the castle of Bardounia in Agios Nikolaos. A little farther north, between Melissa and Archontiko, we can find the Vasilopoula cave and the Stara Bridge, a preserved monument with important architectural value.
