Location
The few remnants of Ancient Theisoa (remains of the isodomic wall, the foundations of the sanctuary of the all powerful god Zeus, as well as buildings of Roman and Hellenistic times) and what is left of the medieval church of the Virgin Mary (Panagia) will be found by passing through the dense mountainous vegetation on the hills southeast of Karkalou, at Paliokatouna.
These findings were discovered in the archaeological excavations of 1911.
