On the northeastern edge of the village, the two story stone elementary school (1914) houses one of the richest folk museums in Arcadia (with tools Kosmas workers used to repair loom shafts, woven works, pottery, historical documents, a library, and more).

The Folk Museum of Kosmas is one of the most pleasant surprises that awaits the visitor. Within this space, the memory of the past is remarkably well preserved. Here, the visitor can find the tools used to repair loom shafts, the work of local woodcarvers, ceramics, weavings, and artistic embroidery, as well as archaeological finds, historical documents, and the community library.

In the past, many people in Greece were exclusively occupied as professional makers of weaving combs, which were fashioned from reeds. They were called ‘Giorgatzaiika.’

The woven textiles and embroidery designed and made in Kosmas with locals’ hands and looms are famous.
