Plakes Vlychou
Beach
ATTIKI, HYDRA

Beautiful, organized, peaceful pebbly beach with blue waters. Located at the entrance to Plakes (from Palamidas). Rocky seabed.

Location

Hydra is ideal for all types of walks. Perhaps the most beautiful route, for most visitors, is the one that starts at the bastion with cannons on the western side of the harbor (below the Grave of P. Kountouriotis) and ends at the seaside village of Plakes Vlichou and its beautiful large beach. The total distance from the town of Hydra is about four kilometers.

Located at the entrance of Plakes (1,200 meters from Palamidas), the beach is quiet and organized, with pebbles, deep blue water, and a rocky seabed. You will find tavernas and rooms for rent in the area.

On the road from Palamidas we will come across other smaller, more secluded beautiful beaches.

Access, as we said, is either on foot from Vlichos, or by water taxi from the town of Hydra.
