Almost at the southernmost tip of the island, we will come across the small settlement of Avlaki, the port of Nikia. Where the road ends, opposite the chapel of Agios Panteleimonas, begins the 200-meter path to the sea and the small bay where you can taste the crystal clear thermal waters falling from the concrete pier. At the end of the path, on the right under a seaside house, there is a regular beach with pebbles and rocks, however it is more open to the weather and less accessible. In contrast, the landscaped area on the left side is like swimming in a large sea pool with the abandoned buildings of the old thermal baths and Andesite lava flows in the background. You can feel the existence of the currents and the warm waters of the springs that still gush into the sea today as you swim in its crystal-clear waters.
