Within the old castle, 4 small churches stand out, Agios Nikolaos, Panagia, Agios Stefanos and Agia Marina, in this order from west to east. Here, Panagia and Agios Stefanos, 19th century churches, are opposite each other and between them is a pebbled floor engraved with the year 1858 and the initials of the hieromonk Benedict (VI).
