Plateau to Agios Georgios

From Horafia, after the church of Agios Georgios of the Mountain, on the left of the road leading to the airport, a pine-lined uphill path with steps begins, 401 in total until we climb from 50 meters altitude to 160. As we climb, it is worth making several stops to admire the beautiful view of the beautiful port of the island. The end of the climb is an arid, rocky plateau with red soil and a clearly visible path (the seven, 7) that, following it, will lead us to the fortress-monastery complex of Agios Georgios of the Mountain. At the beginning of the path on our left we will see a Greek flag waving on a mast.
