Kastellorizo or Megisti, the easternmost inhabited point in Greece (given to Greece along with the rest of the Dodecanese by the Italians in 1948, after World War II), a small island in the Dodecanese with an area of just 9.1 square kilometers, 72 nm from Rhodes and just 1.2 nm from Asia Minor to the north (the island has an airport). In reality, it is a complex of islands and islets with Megisti being the largest (hence the name). It will win you over with the first image that is enough in itself. A colorful settlement adorns the harbor that looks more like a movie set than reality. According to the 2021 census, the island has 594 inhabitants. The island is ideal for hiking (with many archaeological, historical and ecclesiastical attractions), as it is small in size and short distances. Its sea is very beautiful, although it doesn't really have any beaches. Nevertheless, the experience of diving from wherever you can is unique.
