Transfiguration of the Savior

The beautiful church of the Transfiguration of the Savior (Metamorfosis tou Sotiros) is located about one kilometer west of the settlement, on the coastal road next to the bay of Lipsi. Like almost all the churches on the island, it is painted blue and white, with blue domes and window frames. Below the church, we will find the quiet little Christos (Christ) Beach and a pier that provides access to the sea, allowing us to avoid the rocks on the beach. From Christos Beach, the coastal road continues for another 700 meters, ending at Elena Beach on the southwestern edge of the bay of Lipsi.
