The Archaeological Museum of Mykonos was built in 1902. In 1934 it approached its present form, except that the eastern wing was added in 1972. The museum exhibits a large number of prehistoric vessels (up to the late Hellenistic era), funerary statues, figurines, jewelry, and other objects from the 2nd and 1st centuries BC.
