The church of Saint George the Debt Reliever (Agios Georgios o Xechreotis, 1750) is located on the lower road that heads from Vourvoulos to Oia. According to myth, a farmer made an offering to Saint George, asking the saint to save his crop because he owed a lot to his bosses. A few days later, an endless rain began, and the farmer was able to pay off his debts!
