Diapla

Going up the road from Pyrgos toward the monastery of the Prophet Elias (Profitis Ilias), we will see a blue sign and a paved trail on our right. The sign points toward Diapla, indicating a total distance of 650 meters and 10 minutes time. If we follow the easily negotiable path, we will reach a point where we see Emporio with its Venetian castle, Perissa, and the southern beaches all stretched out below us. A truly relaxing and invigorating afternoon walk. At the beginning and end of the route, we will find two small traditional threshing floors.
