The little church of Saint Mark (Agios Markos) is located southeast of Pyrgos on the way to the monastery of the Prophet Elias (Profitis Ilias). Built at the expense of Markos Denaxas in 1989, it has a very beautiful view of the southwestern part of the island and Perissa.
