Saint John Alarga

The country church of Saint John Alarga (Agios Ioannis o Alarga) is at the end of the paved road, after you have crossed most of the island. The route is easy except that the constant ascent is demanding. Do not hesitate to hitchhike if you happen to come across a car. You will find the church surrounded by trees at the beginning of the path to the most historic parts of the island. If you are lucky and meet a shepherd, ask him to open the church for you.
