Old Kouteli

Two kilometres west of new Kouteli and 120 metres higher is located the old village, today deserted and deep within the thick undergrowth. Most of the houses are in ruins and one of the few remaining still standing is the splendid Church of the Dormition (built in 1877). This too, however, needs reinforcing as its impressive construction was neither static nor optimal. Today, (2014) works of support are taking place that should last several months.
