Climbing to Ano Kastania on the road from Faraklo, after we pass the little church of Saint Peter (Agios Petros) on our left, we will see a beautiful young pine forest before us. At the edge of the forest, a sign on the left directs us to follow a dirt road through the pines to a little church and the ruins of the old Byzantine monastery of Pantanassa.
