The pretty little church of the Virgin Mary (Panagia or Panagitsa) at the edge of the settlement named after it, Panagia. The year 1916 is engraved in the horizontal stone above its doorway. On the shore below the church, we can see a small wooden boat launch built in 1935 for the Greek boats of that time. '...Today next to the holy church of the Virgin, her protector gazes at the sea ....'
