The church of the Archangel (Taxiarchis), an older church, is located by the cemetery of Kato Kastania, just outside the village, on the road to the cave of Agios Andreas (or Saint Andrew, also called Kastania Cave). From here we have a very nice overall view of the settlement, as it is on a hillside.
