The entrance to Kastania is dominated by the war memorial to fallen fighters in the struggle against the Turks. It is a monument to Korkontylos Kladas, 1481 (at the Byzantine castle) and Panagiotaros Venetsanakos and Kostantis Kolokotronis, 1780.
