Rogoi

The alpine community of the Municipal District of Kalavryta consists of beautiful Rogoi. It was here, beside the Church of Saint Varvara, that the German occupying force executed 66 men from the village on the 8th December 1943, burned the Church of Saint Varvara and all the houses. Today, an imposing memorial stands at the entrance of Saint Varvara as a reminder to visitors that those black memories of history should never be repeated again in the future.
